Christmas Crack Chex Mix Recipe
Make the most delicious Christmas treat when you make Christmas crack Chex mix.
What is Christmas Crack Chex Mix?
This is an old family favorite in my family. We used to make it regularly every year, but we have been slacking the past few years. It is so good. My sisters do such a better job at making it, but I had to make it this year because it sounded so good! Plus, I think it’s a good snack for the kiddos, and super easy for them to help make. Honestly, I think the hardest part is buying all the stuff for it.
Christmas crack is Chex mix on crack. It has all the things of a Chex mix, but you pour white chocolate all over it! And you’ll get hooked on it, like crack.
Now, I have included a recipe here for you to follow, but you don’t have to be too strict. You can basically add to it, whatever you think will sound good. We usually don’t do popcorn, but I did popcorn in mine because I LOVE flavored popcorn. It’s a definite weakness of mine, especially around the holidays!
Here is how we made it. I also decided to make a chocolate batch because I am a chocolate person! However, it does not taste as good. I don’t know why or how, but it doesn’t.

Christmas Crack Chex Mix Recipe
Ingredients:
24 oz pack of White Chocolate Chips ( Although I would buy extra because it’s easy to burn)
4 cups of Chex cereal (any kind you like, we actually did wheat Chex and it turned out good)
4 cups of Pretzel sticks
10-20 oz. bag of M&Ms (any kind you like, we did peanut and regular)
1 bag of popped Popcorn
3 cups of Peanuts (of your choice, we did honey roasted)
6 Tablespoons of butter
Instructions:
Prepare a baking sheet with wax paper to use later. Cover the baking sheet with the wax paper.
Pour all the ingredients into a big bowl and mix together with your hands.
Place half the white chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl with 3 tablespoons of butter. (I would separate it because if you put it in the microwave all at once there is a higher chance of it burning, well that’s what happened to me. The smaller batches were easier to control).
Cook in the microwave 10-20 seconds at a time stirring in between time. (It will burn if you don’t do this).
Once all your chocolate is melted, pour over your Chex mix and mix around until the it’s covered in white chocolate.
Melt the other half of the white chocolate chips and also pour it over the Chex mix.
Once the chocolate is all mixed in. Lay the Chex mix out on the baking sheet and flatten with a spatula. Place the sheet in the fridge for at least 20 minutes so it can harden. Once it has cooled and hardened a little, take out and break into smaller pieces and store it in an air tight container or baggie.
I also made a milk chocolate batch just to try it out, and for some reason it’s not as good as the white chocolate, and I’m a chocolate person!
Then eat it! You won’t ever want to stop. We munch on it throughout the Christmas season.
This is a great gift to take to friends and neighbors, just wrap it up in some cute little Christmas party favor bags, add a sweet note, and place it at their front door!
