Create a fun and cute Christmas tree ornament from popsicle sticks. Hang it on your tree for years to come.

Christmas Tree Ornament

I like to create ornaments with my kids every year so that I can see look back on their old stuff every year when we decorate the tree. This one is a perfect one because it won’t break easy and the kids can be creative with it. I recommend you use hot glue so that it will last and stay together a lot better. Regular glue will work, but make sure you give it enough time to dry and be generous.

You can use any supplies you have on hand to “decorate the tree”: Buttons, pom poms, stickers, 3D stickers, paper circles, etc…

You can even let the kids decide what they’d like to decorate the tree with! 🙂 Who knows, maybe they will come up with something creative.

This template provides circles and star you can use to decorate the tree.

This is how we did it.

How to Make a Christmas Tree Ornament Popsicle Stick Craft

Supplies:

• 6 Popsicle sticks
• Star
• Decorative ornaments (If you don’t have anything, circles are provided on the template)
• Green Paint
• Paint Brush
• String
• Glue (Hot glue works best)

Instructions:

• Start by painting all the popsicle sticks green, on both sides.

• After they dry, glue them together in a triangle shape. This can be done however you want. You could even cut the popsicle sticks down if you wanted.

• Glue on your decorative pieces however you want.
• Glue the star on the top.

• Once dry, tie the string around the top wherever you’d like. Now, you can hang it on your tree.

Now you have a cute Christmas Tree ornament to hang on your Christmas Tree.
