Easy Paper Christmas Tree Craft for Kids
Make the easiest paper Christmas tree craft with your kids this Christmas season!
Christmas Tree Craft
My kids literally made me make this craft, haha. I really wanted to make these awesome bottle cap snowman ornaments, but my daughter was like, “mommy those are too small!” I thought they were super cute. She wanted to make a big Christmas tree. Forget that I had been saving up bottle caps for the past month. haha. Don’t worry, we still made the snowman, but not until we did the Christmas tree. I thought they were just WAY too cute, my daughter did too after we made them.
This craft is probably the easiest Christmas craft you will do ALL season. The best part is, my kids made it up, on the fly. My daughter got all my Christmas craft stuff out that she liked and said, this is what I want to do. It was pretty awesome. Maybe we’ve done crafts enough in our house. haha. ;).
You can literally just use whatever you have on hand, or whatever you can find at the dollar store and throw this together last minute. It’s a great craft to spend some time together and keep your kiddos occupied during the Winter. And there’s not a crazy mess or expensive supplies. This could also be turned into a cute little ornament.
Easy Paper Christmas Tree Craft
Supplies:
Poster board/cardstock
Paint
Paintbrush
Ribbon
Googly eyes (optional)
Christmas Pom poms
Glue
Any embellishments you have on hand to decorate a Christmas tree
Instructions:
Draw or trace out a Christmas tree on a piece of cardstock or poster board. I recommend some type of sturdy paper so it’s not all flimsy. You could find one on google to copy or trace. It doesn’t have to be perfect.
Cut out your tree.
Have your kids paint the trees green, and paint the trunk brown if they want.
Then have them decorate it with whatever you have.
We did Christmas pom poms, ribbon, googly eyes, and markers.
You can add a ribbon to the back and make it into an ornament.
Merry Christmas!
