Mother’s Day is one of my favorite days of the year! It’s one of the only days I get to take a 3-hour nap and feel absolutely NO guilt about it! I look forward to it every year.
I love getting homemade crafts or items from my kids. It makes me feel so special. These are some of the reasons I decided to create this Mother’s Day Bible verse craft printable. Moms are special to God too, and it adds a little touch to the printable. If you want to make mom feel special with the perfect Mother’s Day gift, this is the perfect craft to do it!

Why Moms Love a Bible Verse Craft Created By Their Kids
Moms love just about anything created by their kids. I would keep everything my kids made if I had the room for it. I actually do keep a decent portion (I have a file for each child).
A craft made by a child for Mother’s Day telling them how much they love them is just a big bonus. Plus, God cherishes Mothers so much, so including a Bible verse is just icing on the cake.
Supplies Needed For This Mother’s Day Bible Craft
I have two different craft templates for a Mother’s Day Bible craft. One could be messy (but only slightly), and the other one is mostly coloring. I have a flower pot Bible craft and a dandelion Bible craft. They both contain Bible verses.
Flower Pot Craft Supplies
Dandelion Craft Supplies
- Template
- Paint
- Q-tips (optional)
- Coloring utensils (optional)
Simple Step By Step Instructions
The great thing about these crafts is how simple they can be – even Dad can do it!
Flower Pot Bible Craft Instructions
- This is a super simple craft. Print off the Mother’s Day Bible craft flower pot template. It prints in black and white.
- Write in the flowers words that describe mom. They could be words like loving, understanding, kind, nice, pretty, etc.
- Color the rest of the page however you’d like.
- Give it to the mom in your life.
Dandelion Instructions
- Print off the Mother’s Day Bible craft dandelion template.
- There are two ways to do this craft. First, you could get some Q-tips and make dots of various colors all around the dandelion stem. Or, you could have your child dip their finger into the paint and put their fingerprints around the dandelion stem in different colors. This is a cute way to show their little fingers.
- Color the rest of the page, if you’d like.
- Give it to mom.
Is This a Good Craft for Sunday School?
The flower pot craft would be perfect for Sunday school because all you need is some coloring utensils. It is a great lesson about how God loves His Mothers.
The Dandelion craft may not work for Sunday school just because it could be messy. But, if you have a set-up for painting, then it could work. You could also choose to just color it by drawing circles around the dandelion stem, but it definitely wouldn’t look as great.
