Christmas Accordion Paper Santa Claus Craft for Kids

Create a fun and simple accordion paper Santa Claus craft with your kids this year for the Holidays.

You can’t let Christmas pass each year without creating a fun Santa craft. Santa is such a staple of Christmas. This Christmas craft creates a different kind of Santa. He’s funny, and he has a lot of dimensions to him. The kids will think he’s cute, and want to play with him!

You probably have all the supplies to make this Santa craft. If you don’t have googly eyes, you can always draw on your eyes, or make some out of paper. I have a template for this Santa.

This is how we did it.

Paper Santa Claus Craft

Supplies:

Santa Template (or you can make your own)
Red Paper (I use cardstock, but construction paper would work too)
Yellow and black paper
Googly Eyes (Optional)
Scissors
Glue
Cotton Balls
Marker
Foam Sticker (optional)

Instructions:

If you’re using the blank template, color all the pieces however you’d like, and cut them out, then start gluing. If you’re making your own template you will need a big circle for the body, a small circle for the head, Santa hat, belt, belt buckle, and strips of paper for the arms and legs.

If you’re using the colored template, cut everything out, then start gluing.
Start by gluing Santa’s belt together and then onto his belly.
Glue his head to his belly.
Glue his eyes to his face. (You can color on eyes)

Using the foam sticker (if you have it), stick his nose onto his face so that it’s 3D.

Draw a mouth.
Glue on his hat.
Use the strips for his arms and legs. Before gluing them on, fold them like accordions. Then glue them to the back of his body/belly.
