Fun Fall Pumpkin People Craft for Kids
Create a fun fall craft by making pumpkin people with your kiddos. It’s easy and completely made of paper.
Fall Craft
Tis the season for pumpkins, apples, hot cocoa, and hoodies. I love all the activities Fall brings, along with crafts and fun for the kiddos. We made these pumpkin people recently and they were a huge hit with my kids. They loved seeing it turn into a little “person”.
My template for this craft has several different faces you can choose from, which makes it fun for the kids to pick out. You could also use all the faces and make a huge village of pumpkin people. My kids got creative on their own and made their pumpkin people 2-faced by making a face on the back. 🙂
You can use any type of paper for this craft, and you can cut out the template and color it, or cut it out of orange paper. We found some pretty orange paper from my scrapbook stash, so we used that for our pumpkin. You could also get creative and make purple or black pumpkins!
This would be a cute craft to hang around the house for décor for the Fall.
Here’s how we did it.
Fall Pumpkin People Craft
Supplies:
- Template
- Orange Construction Paper
- Scissors
- Marker
- Glue
- Optional Supplies: Googly eyes, colors
Instructions:
First Print off the template and cut out the pumpkin you’d like to use. You can either use this pumpkin for a template to cut out of orange construction paper, or you can color it.
Next pick which eyes and mouth you’d like to use and cut them out.
Glue on your eyes and mouth to your pumpkin. Make sure to leave room for a nose. Color in your nose.
Once your pumpkin face is ready, cut out four strips of construction paper. These will be your arms and legs so make them as long as you’d like them. Ruffle them by folding them like an accordion. Glue them to the back of your pumpkin where you’d like your arms and legs to be!
Now you have cute little pumpkin people.
Pumpkin People Craft Variations:
Here are a few variations to get creative with your pumpkin:
You could use googly eyes if you have them!
You could do this on a paper plate.
Color your pumpkin in instead of cutting it out of construction paper.
Make your pumpkin two-faced by making a face on the back too!
Make all kinds of people with different faces and have a pumpkin people village.
