31 Quick Crafts for Kids that Take 10 Minutes or Less
As a busy mom, it can be difficult to find the time to craft, but it may not be as difficult as you think. Here are several different easy and quick crafts for kids that take less than 10 minutes.
Quick Crafts for Kids
Sometimes doing crafts with your kids can seem really overwhelming and difficult, but it doesn’t have to be. Don’t let the idea of it being difficult stop you from doing it. Some good advice is to have a craft box that is full of easy and cheap craft supplies that is easy to access. Any time your kids want to do a craft or you want to spend some quality time with them, or you want to teach them through crafts and activities, pull it out.

I’ve compiled a list of several different ideas of easy 10-minute crafts. Most of them require little prep work and easy clean up. You probably already have the items on hand, if you have a craft box, it’ll make these crafts even easier.

31 Ten Minute Quick Crafts for Kids that are Super Easy
Pasta Necklace
Who doesn’t have pasta and string on hand? It’s such a simple craft to make a pasta necklace, but the kids love it! You could also do it with Fruit Loops or Cheerios, and the kids can eat them. Thread them through the string and tie the ends together.
Bird Seed Ornaments
These simple bird seed ornaments are great for spring time when all the birds are out. They are super easy to make, and then you get to watch the birds. It’s the craft that keeps on giving.
Toilet Paper Binoculars
These Toilet Paper Binoculars are fun. Just save a few toilet paper rolls for a couple weeks, grab some paint and glue and you’re good to go. These are great to make for outings, walks, or going to the zoo.
Tin can Windsocks
Save those canned good cans for a sweet Tin Can Windsock. All you need are the tin cans, ribbon, and some paint. Hang them up on the porch and let the wind take it away.
Balloon Painting
A really basic craft involves only balloons and some paint! Balloon painting can be super fun and creative.
Streamer Rainbows
Use paper plates, cotton balls, and streamers to make cute Streamer Rainbows to hang up.
Paper straw Tulips
With some straws and a little bit of paper you can make some cute little Paper Straw Tulips. My 21 quick crafts printable has the template for the straw tulips and more!
Hand Print Bird Craft
Using just your hand and some paper, you can create a cute Hand Print Bird Craft.
Popsicle Stick Apple Core
A super cute popsicle craft is this Apple Core. You need paper, popsicle craft sticks, paint, and scissors. You could also do this with other fruits or vegetables and make a garden or fruit basket. Also included in my quick craft bundle.
Paper Sunflowers
Super cute folded Paper Sunflowers. These are a great Summer craft. You could also make a bouquet of them and deliver them to someone.
Paper Plate Hedgehog
Another great paper plate craft that is super simple and cute, the Paper Plate Hedgehog. You can really make just about any animal out of a paper plate. It would be fun to challenge your kids to do that, and you could create a zoo. You could also use it to help teach letters by adding the letter the animal starts with to the paper plate. This makes a great preschool craft!

Bubble Painting/Straw Painting
Try bubble painting or straw painting for a twist. The kids love doing something different with paint that doesn’t involve a paint brush.
Paper bag puppets
Make a classic paper bag puppet. All you need is those brown paper lunch sacks, some construction paper, and glue. If you want to get really fancy, use some yarn and googly eyes.
Paper Butterfly
Paper Butterfly’s are super easy to make, you could probably make about 10 of them in 10 minutes. They are almost no mess, and they look great anywhere. You could hang them up on the wall, or stick them in a plant, or put them outside.
Soda Bottle Stamped Art
Use a soda bottle to create a stamp for some awesome art. Next time you go to the store, treat yourself to a litter of Coke. After you finish it, save it for this project. Kids LOVE stamps. If you wanted to make your own stamps with toilet paper rolls, you can check that out here.
Salt Painting
We haven’t tried this one yet, but really want to, it’s on my list. You paint, but you use salt to give it a more raised and textured look. Salt Painting looks pretty cool.
Paper Plate fans
These are super cute and fun. You can create those fans that you buy really cheap at all the Souvenior shops. It’s a paper plate fan!
Sheep Stick Craft
How cute are these Stick Sheep? Another great popsicle stick craft by Crafts by Amanda for the win! Just a Popsicle stick, paint, and cotton balls.
Toilet Paper Roll Fruit
Who doesn’t love Toilet Paper Crafts? Who knew there would be so many good uses for Toilet paper. Here’s another one, make these cute toilet paper fruit roll by Art Craft and Fun.
Resist Art
Resist art is a type of water painting that is very interesting and fun. You use two different mediums, and one resist the other. You have to check it out.
Monster Bookmarks
If you have a reader in your family, they are going to love these. They are super fun Monster Bookmarks. All you need is paper and glue.
DIY Threaded Straw Necklace
This craft is a lot like the pasta necklace with a twist. It’s not edible, but you use straws to thread through your necklace. It’s simple and cheap. Just need some straw and string!
Paper Plate Snowman
Another paper plate craft, only it’s not an animal it’s a Snowman. It’s great for a Winter or Christmas time craft.
Q Tip Painting
Q-tip Painting is another great preschool and toddler craft for fine motor skills and learning. You just paint with Q-tips. If you’d like some templates to paint on. Check out the ones I’ve made here.
Changing Faces Paper Cup
This is a fun craft that the kids will continue to play with after you make it. It’s a decorated paper cup, but it moves so that you can change the faces of the character that you drew on the cup. Check it out.
Unicorn Toilet Paper Craft
Unicorns are very much “in” these days. Kids love them, so this is the perfect Unicorn Craft!
Pom Pom Rainbow Collage
This awesome Pom Pom Rainbow craft is great for preschoolers to learn colors, and fine motor skills, and it’s super simple.
Painting With Cars
My 3 year old son loves this craft because it involves cars! If you have some toy cars on hand and some paint, that’s all you need. Your car lover will love this craft!

These quick craft ideas for kids are such a lifesaver, especially on those busy days when finding time for creativity seems impossible.
